SharePoint Conference A Success!

Thanks to all who participated in the Sharepoint conference.  We received much positive feedback from attendees, and there was valuable discussion around the use of Sharepoint as a document management, records management or enterprise content management solution.

Thanks to our vendors for their financial support and for providing several excellent speakers for the event.

We plan to post presentation materials here from our various speakers, so watch this space for more information.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Members and Prospective Members,

Welcome to the Utah- Salt Lake Chapter of ARMA as the 28 th Year of our Association begins.  What a challenging role it is of being President - to make a positive impact and to bring valuable educational opportunities to its members.  Thanks to a great Board and great committees that will assist in bringing that to pass this year.

The Board met at an Annual Planning Meeting and defined the following goals for this year:

•  Increase and Diversify Membership

•  Improve Marketing

•  Community Service

In that meeting the Mission Statement of the Chapter was clarified.  It now reads:

To Advance the Professional Practice of Records and Information Management  by Consistently Offering High Quality Educational

& Networking Opportunities

It is our desire to accomplish this "mission" each month.

The 2008-2009 Program Theme is “Records Management on the Cutting Edge,” which will be introduced at the first ARMA meeting held on September 18, 2008, at the Zions Bank Building.

We have a full year of meetings planned offering High Quality Educational and Networking Opportunities that will assist you in keeping your Records Management process on the cutting edge! Surely, you will not want to miss these meetings so please plan to attend and bring your associates with you.
